Requirements

You are wasting your time if you do not STRICTLY meet the below requirements.

  1. You must be a South African citizen.
  2. You can NOT be older than 35 years of age as of the date of your application submission.
  3. Based on your latest academic results you must have an average pass mark of 65% or above.
  4. Your gross (before deductions) household income must be less than R600 000 for the year.
  5. You must be a full-time student or be applying to be a full-time student.
  6. You must live in South Africa.
  7. You must have proof of registration or acceptance (or provisional acceptance) at a recognised institution of higher learning, OR proof of application.

Please make sure you have the following documents ready to upload BEFORE you start your application.

NOTE: Your application will be rejected if any required document is missing.

 

* A certified copy of your South African ID (Not older than 3 months)
* A copy of your latest academic results (grade 12 June or prelim results, Final NSC / IEB results, Tertiary Results – university, TVET or College)
*A certified copy of your final NSC result if completed before 2026
* Proof of registration OR acceptance OR provisional acceptance OR proof of application at a recognised higher education institution (PDF, JPG or Doc formats only - Maximum file size 2mb)
* Recent proof of residence (not older than 3 months)
Example of proof of residence: A copy of a utility bill in your own or parents/guardian’s name reflecting your physical address e.g. rates and taxes or water and electricity account, affidavit from landlord, bank statement or affidavit from your local counsellor.
* Proof of income of Parent(s) or guardian (most recent payslip) as listed in the application above OR certified declaration of unemployment (not older than 3 months) OR affidavit confirming you do not have parents/guardians OR SASSA Grant recipient certificate. (PDF, JPG or Doc formats only - Maximum file size 2mb)
* Three months bank statement of parent/guardian (most recent). If your parent or Guardian is employed, the bank statement must be the account their salary is paid into.
* If Applicable - Proof of income of Parent or Guardian 2 (most recent payslip) as listed in the application; OR certified declaration of unemployment (not older than 3 months); OR affidavit confirming you do not have parents/guardians; OR SASSA Grant recipient certificate. (PDF, JPG or Doc formats only - Maximum file size 2mb)
* Medical note of type of disability (if applicable)
* If applicable, three months bank statement of parent/guardian 2 (most recent). If your parent or Guardian 2 is employed, the bank statement must be the account their salary is paid into.
